TRACTO-TECHNIK UK wins UKSTT Innovation Award for iCore keyhole project with SGN
Tracto Technik UK & SGN were the proud winners of the prestigious UKSTT Award for Innovative Product at the recent UKSTT Awards Dinner in Leeds, UK.
The Innovative Product is one of the most competitive categories which are independently judged each year.Having been short listed for awards three times before this was the first award Tracto Technik had won since the start of the Society in 1993.
The submission, from Billie Turner of Tracto Technik UK and Angus Mcintosh from SGN was based on the development of the iCore system which utilises keyhole technology, including a coring system, vacuum excavation, the GrundoPit KHD directional drilling unit and specially developed Long Handled Tooling to safely excavate, lay and connect a service pipe to a main from a 650mm excavation with no man entry.
The Awards Dinner, attended by over 200 people, followed on from a very successful No Dig Roadshow with exhibitors and two tracks of presentations, including an overview on Pipe Bursting from Tracto Technik UK’s Matthew Izzard who also presided over the Dinner as the new Chairman of the UKSTT.
